ABOUT Sara
As Senior Vice President, National Account Manager at Commonwealth Land Title Company (also serving Lawyers Title Company & Fidelity National Title Group Builder Services), Sara is responsible for coordinating the best people, pricing, products, and services to facilitate a smooth closing for her clients.
Sara has over 30 years of experience in the title insurance industry where she worked internally learning about title and escrow and then moved into sales and sales management where her sales team was number one in market share in every territory. Her background includes working on everything from large commercial and residential master planned communities, high rise commercial and residential projects, hotels, mixed use projects, and affordable housing developments across the country. She has worked in 28 states and is comfortable on a single site commercial transaction, a subdivision, or a multi-site, multi-state project.
Some of her notable commercial transactions include a $1.4 billion dollar loan to Nissan Motor Corporation to build the "Leaf" manufacturing plant in Tennessee, a two day closing on a high rise apartment building in downtown Los Angeles, and a $500 million portfolio sale of office, industrial, retail and vacant land to an Orange County client on 26 sites in Southern California and Arizona. She also continues to earn business from some of the largest Affordable Housing Builders in our industry.
Her National Commercial Underwriters have insured a majority of high profile commercial transactions and make decisions with the flexibility and creativity needed to close transactions on time. Most of her national commercial team has worked together for close to twenty years and their teamwork is seamless.
Sara has also worked with a majority of Southern California home builders throughout her career and has served as a National Homebuilder Representative. Her experience with acquisitions, construction loans, BRE processing, mapping, and entitlement puts her in a unique position to facilitate the best team on any project. Her service on the BIA board of directors also keeps her updated on developments that affect merchant, multi- family and affordable builders.
Her affordable housing clients work with our highly skilled Affordable Housing Team who specialize in working with HUD, bonds, and tax credits. Legal counsel who transact in affordable housing, bonds, and HUD projects appreciate her team’s skill set and are comfortable knowing transactions will close smoothly and on time.
Sara gives back to our industry through her board membership with Central City Association in downtown Los Angeles, Home Aid Los Angeles (a division of HomeAid America), and The LA/Ventura Building Industry Association. She is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate.
Sara has a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Northridge in Business Administration and continues to educate herself through attending events sponsored by CCA, BIA, ULI, ICSC, and the Bar Association.
